Hi I'm Brandie

I was born and raised in the "Bible Belt". I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Alabama. Lived in a home with both parents and 7 brothers and sisters. I am now a wife and a mother of 5 children, living in Colorado. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and baking. I am, also, currently training for a half marathon to help with research for Crones disease.

Why I am a Mormon

My life has been very blessed because I was raised in the Mormon faith. Being raised in the "Bible Belt" I had many opportunities to attend other churches. Taking advantage of these opportunities, helped increase my testimony about being a member of Christ true church. My testimony didn't come right away, all at once. It was, as stated in The Book of Mormon (2Nephi 28:30), line upon line, precept upon precept. The lord has given me life lessons that help my testimony increase. I'm am truly grateful for the knowledge the restored Gospel brings us. I know without a shadow of doubt that Joseph Smith was a Prophet, that he Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. I know we have a living prophet today: Thomas S. Monson, who guides us and directs us, and receives revelation from God. Having lost my mother to cancer 10 years ago, I'm grateful for the knowledge of Eternal Families, and the fact that I will be reunited with her, and she will have the opportunity to get to know my children.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is not just a Sunday religion. I live my Religion everyday, by trying to follow God's commandments. I spend my days trying to be a Christlike person, and teaching my children to do the same. I teach the 3 Years old on Sundays. They are such a great joy. I visit women at church each month to make sure they are doing well. I deliver meals to sick, help take care of other's children, and try to be a good listener to ones who need to talk. I volunteer at my children's school, and provide rides to and from school to children who need one. My days are filled with giving service and I wouldn't have it any other way.
