Hi I'm Dean

I love people from every country. I have visited over 30 countries and enjoy hiking, golfing, and gardening and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of 7 children. We consider our role as parents and now grandparents the most challenging yet rewarding experience in this life. Our goal has been to help prepare our children to be a light to the world and to assist in making it a better place in which we all share together. We have had the opportunity to visit and live in several foreign countries and assist in humanitarian service. As a result, we have made many friends along the way. We respect the cultures and traditions of those with whom we have visited and lived. We are not wealthy nor poor, but consider ourselves blessed indeed to be a part of this wonderful human family.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors joined the Church in Denmark and Scotland and immigrated to America in the eighteenth century. I therefore have a rich heritage of many who sacrificed their all to enjoy the blessings of freedom in American and the peace and happiness that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years I have come to realize more fully that living the teachings of Jesus as taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have blessed my life in more ways than I can describe. It has taught me to be a better husband and father. It has taught me how to better love my neighbor as myself. It has taught me to be more loyal to my country and to be a law abiding citizen. It has given me a purpose of life that brings peace to my soul and joy to my heart.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve others through many assignments in the Church that have expanded my talents and given me a lifetime of experiences which have enriched and edified my life. Be it the Scouting program, teaching gospel principles, serving as a clerk and secretary or as the head or president of a Church organization, all have allowed me to use my time, talents and other resources to bless the lives of others. In the process, I think I have been blessed more than what I may have given. It is truly a church of action.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

I testify that He came to the earth as recorded in the Bible and other sacred scriptures. Trying to follow His teachings and example during this mortal experience on earth is my most sincere desire, hope and challenge. Show more Show less
