Hi I'm Cathy.

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming community in the Midwest and met Mormon missionaries while I was in college. I have a wonderful husband, 4 children, 2 small grandchildren, and a borzoi. I enjoy tennis, gardening and walking my dog. I recently became an elementary school teacher but have put teaching on hold to be a granny nanny.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Christian but had questions while in that faith that were never answered. The Mormon missionaries answered those questions and, after they asked me to pray about the things they taught, I had a strong feeling that what they said was true. I was baptized shortly afterwards as a member of the Mormon church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and desires to bless me, that Jesus Christ is the head of this church and He is my savior and the way to peace and happiness. I learned these things through prayer and studying the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures each day and attend Sunday church and the temple. I receive strength to overcome the evil in our world when I make Sunday a day of worship and take time to serve in the temple. On Sunday during church services I help with children and adult activities. During the week I assist needy people with meals, visits, or offer prayers for them. Helping others is what being a Mormon is all about.
