Hi I'm CK

I have one wife and five tax dependents. That's enough to keep me busy most of the time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a CPA and work at home. As parents of five, my wife and I get lots of entertainment attending our children's sports and dance events. I also enjoy doing odd jobs around the house and in the yard.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Buddhist and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at age twenty while a student at college. I questioned why people needed God, and if he were a crutch of some sort to lean on. After studying various religions and beliefs, that question turned to one of introspection: If there is a god, then I have an obligation to find out. The missionaries invited me to pray about it. I figured if my prayers were not answered, I had nothing to lose. If they were answered, however, then I needed to know. It took three years. Through the Holy Ghost, I received undeniable witneess that I do have a Father in heaven and Joseph Smith is his prophet. That did it for me. My testimony has been added to the past 32 years as I've come to depend on the great atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me be a better husband and father. Christ's way is better than my way. For example, if I raise my voice at my children and need to settle down, I'm given strength to apologize and ask them to forgive their father. By yielding my pride to His way, peace in our home is restored. Being Mormon requires time and committment. This is much more than a religious organization, it is a way of life, 24/7. One that brings assurance in troubled times because we are led by a prophet of God. We receive answers to our prayers. The counsel of our prophet and other leaders helps me raise our children and stay out of debt. I enjoy being a Mormon.
