Hi I'm Whitney

I am a mother of five girls ages (1,3, 5, 7, and 9). I live in Wisconsin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am so blessed! I am a Mom of Five beautiful little girls. I have a very full and busy life with my children, but I love to do activities with my them, especially if it involves outdoor activities like catching toads, hikes, walks, going to the lake, playing at parks, or camping. I love eating ice-cream, reading non fiction books and love stories, watching feel good movies, running in the mornings, and I love love love to cook and try new recipes! I think my favorite hobbies in all the world are gardening and reading travel books about places I've never been. I dream about writing a book someday (I have some stories in my head) and I want to play the guitar better. The things I want most in life are for my girls to grow up happy, love the Lord, and to have the strength to make good decisions!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me find real Joy and Peace in life and has helped guide me through this crazy world. I want to serve like Christ did and to love like he did. I want to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again someday and the Gospel shows me how I can. When I was 21 years old, I made the decision to serve a mission. Just before I left for this mission, my dad, who I love very much, asked me a hard question. He asked how I knew the things I was about to teach to others about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon were true. After some thought I realized that I had never found out for myself about these things. In preparation for my mission, I went to the mission training center for five weeks and while I was there, in my alone time, I studied the scriptures and turned to Heavenly Father in serious prayer concerning my questions. One night after I was done praying, asking specific questions, I felt this amazing peace come over me like a warm blanket was being wrapped around me and I felt so happy inside. I knew at that moment my prayers had been answered. Now I knew I could teach the truths I had been taught all my life in confidence.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. One reason I love it is because it teaches me how to love to serve as the Lord served. At church in the past I have had many opportunities to teach and serve with the Young Women ages 12-18 and children 3 years to 11 years old. Currently I am working with the adult women of the church in providing assistance whenever they may have a need that arises in their lives.
