Hi I'm Michelle

Native to Arizona. Baptized in Finland. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 6 children. I'm grateful to be working at their school. I taught myself how to play the piano and enjoy playing as long as there's no audience. I've played trumpet, French horn and guitar as a child, but singing is my true passion. I love to read and try new things. My favorites are water skiing, wind surfing, rock climbing, hiking, camping, swimming, ice skating, volleyball, baking and classical dance.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. However I wouldn't say I've taken this for granted. I've dealt with significant personal tragedies uncommon among most people. I learned early on that the Lord is mindful of us. We are not here by chance. He has a purpose for each of us. It starts by having total faith and trust in him. Miracles are real. I know firsthand. I know my Savior, Jesus Christ lives! He leads and guides His church today with a prophet/seer/revelator. This gospel is the Lord's work upon the earth. The scriptures are his words. I've felt his unconditional love when I read and pondered them. Pray for yourself and feel his love for you.

How I live my faith

I find it very important to help others in need. I like being actively involved; former HeadStart Parent Volunteer and a previous Boy's and Girl's Club Volunteer Tutor. I currently participate in PTO and I'm an Art Masterpiece Volunteer/Coordinator. At church I serve as a Cub Scout Webelo Leader. It is challenging but rewarding. They are a great group of 10 year olds boy's. I also enjoy being a Visiting Teacher. It gives me an opportunity to be of assistance and teach monthly messages on an individual basis. They become very close friends of mine. There is a bond developed when you are of service.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Michelle
My heart breaks for those caught in this snare. So deceptive is the adversary for a whole society to accept if not embrace such behavior. The scriptures are clear on the matter. The Lord reveals his doctrine very straight forward. What was an abomination to the Lord in times of old remain unchanged in our day. Our Lord has an unconditional love for all of his children on earth. I couldn't begin to understand fully the sorrow he must feel when we turn from him in sin. He loves the sinner but cannot allow with the least degree of allowance the sin which is committed. He invites us to come unto him all that are heavy laden. Cast off your sin and do them no more. His arms are stretched out still. Waiting for us to decide to follow. Show more Show less
