Hi I'm Erika

I am the mother to 3 year old twins. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Houston, Texas. I went to school at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and have my degree in Management. My husband and I have a set of 3 year old boy/girl twins. I love to do crafts, but it is kind of hard with 4 little interested hands. I also enjoy reading when I have free time.

Why I am a Mormon

My husband and I joined the church 3 years ago. He read the Book of Mormon and encouraged me to read it as well. We prayed about it and there was no doubt it was true. We took the missionary lessons and started attending church. The spirit was stronger there then I had ever experienced before. We were baptized 2 months later with our babies and families in the front row. My aunt, who was the biggest opponent of us joining the church, actually came to our baptism. She was very impressed with the fact that our bishop has a full time job on top of his work in the church. She also ran into her favorite physical therapist at our baptism who she did not know was a member of our church.

How I live my faith

I am the secretary for our women's group. I really enjoy visiting the women in our area and making sure they feel welcome. I love that my kids get to see me serve the ladies and families in our area at a young age.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is our church's women's group. On Sunday, Relief Society is one of the classes in our block of meetings. We are able to learn the material in a way that women can relate to. More then that, Relief Society is a network of women helping women. We lift each other up as mothers, daughters, grandmothers and sisters. Show more Show less
