Hi I'm Craig

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I' ve been happily married to the same amazing woman for the last 28 years. I have two great kids and I love the Gospel. I retired from the Military years ago and started my second career working in the Heating and Air Conditioning field for a school district. I enjoy spending time with my family, helping others, traveling, snorkeling, going to amusement parks, target shooting and doing family history research.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in Iowa. Didn't know anything about the Mormons until I met a Mormon Girl while stationed in Utah and started dating her. I noticed right away that her religion was a real important part of her life. I met her family and was touched by their love for each other and by the way they lived their faith. I started to investigate the Church and everything just made sense. I was raised with a belief in Christ but certain things were unclear to me. I felt though I had to be convinced through the Holy Bible that the beliefs of Mormons were true. Then one day I found a little card titled "Seventeen points of the True Church" It was exactly what I was looking for! Every point describes a quality or attribute of the true Church, using the verses found only in the Holy Bible as the reference. After reviewing that, it helped me become more receptive to the possibility that the Book of Mormon was additional scripture. After reading the Book of Mormon I received a special witness that it is indeed true. That was a turning point in my life. I had fallen by the wayside, doing things that I wasn't proud of . After being baptised I had found direction again and questions were answered, it was the missing element in my life. Becoming a member has greatly blessed my life and the lives of my Family. I have a strong testimony that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the Earth through Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon is another testiment of Christ, and that we have a living Prophet that reveals to us God's Word and leads His Church today.

How I live my faith

Everyday on my way to work I listen to uplifting spiritual messages from our church leaders. It's a great way to start the day. I try to live the principles taught in the Scriptures. I always treat others the way I would like to be treated. I am not perfect by any means but I always try to do better. I love to serve others by helping them with their needs, whether it's doing yardwork, painting, repairing sprinkler systems or helping them with a move. It's wonderful to be able to meet with others on a regular basis that share my same beliefs in Christ. Prayer has been an important part of my life. Knowing that God listens and is there to help us in whatever we face while here on Earth is so comforting. I know as we follow His commandments we'll find true happiness and joy in all things.
