Hi I'm Deb

I grew up in the Chicago area, LOVE being a Mom to 4 fun kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being active- especially outdoors. I love camping with my family, swimming, jogging, hiking, swinging on swing sets with my kids, and family bike rides. I have 3 boys and 1 girl, lots of xbox and wii at our house, and even more sports! We enjoy movie nights on the weekend and soccer/football/basketball games Saturdays. I am blessed to stay home with my kids but hope to return to work when my kids are grown- I am a nurse and spent 5 great years working at the hospital. My husband is my best friend and we have fun together whether we are doing yard work, a project, or cruising in the Caribbean. He is an amazing Dad and I am grateful for him every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the Holy Ghost bear witness to me of the truth of these things. I have read the Book of Mormon, and have a testimony of the truthfulness of this book as a witness of Christ and a supplement to the Bible. I know that we have a living prophet on the Earth who received modern day revelation for us. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove where he knelt in prayer and asked which church was true. I have been to the sacred grove several times in my life and felt the burning witness of truth of what transpired in these sacred places. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is complete, and perfect and is truly the plan of happiness. I know that this plan of happiness is all about families. I am thankful to know that as families we can be together forever. The blessings of the temple are real and bless us now, and forever. I am thankful as a Mother to know that my children will be mine forever. I am grateful for my testimony and membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do what my Savior taught while he lives on Earth. I know my influence and example to my children is the most important thing I can do right now, which I why I choose to stay home with them while they are young. I try to be Christlike in my life- being honest, kind, charitable, and service oriented.
