Hi I'm Heather

I grew up in California, Utah and Colorado. I'm married and have 2 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 43 and have been married for 11 yrs. I enjoy reading, swimming, horseback riding, and raising show rabbits. I am proud to be married to a United States Marine. I've been scuba diving in Tahiti, skiing in Utah, riding the waves in California. I would rather be outside than inside. I love anything made with peanut butter and chocolate. I can stay up until 2am reading a good book. I love being a mom and have 2 wonderful children.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised in the gospel, I had to choose for myself which path to take in life. It wasn't until I was in my 20's that I began to realize what it meant to be a member of the church. Having to live my own life and make my own decisions (both right and wrong), has let me see that peace and happiness can only come from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Knowing that I lived with God before I came to this Earth, that he is in my life now, and that I can live with him again when my time on Earth is over makes everything I do have a deeper meaning. I know that I am a daughter of God, that I was created in his image, and that I have a Heavenly Father and Mother who love me, probably even more than I love my own kids.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ spent his whole life providing service to others. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we have taken his name upon us and try to live our lives as Jesus did. I try to provide service to others by cleaning the houses of new mothers, or taking meals to someone who is sick, or helping an elderly widow with home repairs. I've made some wonderful friends by providing service to them. I'm trying to teach this principle to my children, and I hope I can be a good example to them.
