Hi I'm Tim Penrod

I grew up in Arizona in the United States. I am the CEO of a social service agency. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have five children--four boys and one girl. I enjoy playing and writing music. I have two master's degrees -- one in Marriage and Family Therapy and one in Business Administration. I like gardening and enjoy playing and watching a variety of sports. I am the CEO of an agency that helps children and families with behavioral health challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in a Mormon family, that is not the primary reason I am a member of the church today. At some point in life, each person must decide what they believe about who we really are, where we came from and what happens after we die. Losing close family members to death has helped me face some of these questions directly and closely examine what I believe and why I believe it. The Mormon religion gives answers that make the most sense to me about these important questions. I feel the greatest peace when I study these teachings verses the teachings of other faiths. My belief grows stronger as I live its teachings. The Book of Mormon has influenced my life tremendously. I feel a powerful confirmation that it is true each time I read it.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy participating in service in the church. I have done a variety of different activities, such as playing the piano for the church group the young children attend and leading youth groups. I have also worked in different administrative positions that help ensure that our local church unit functions successfully. These have included keeping and updating church records and helping with the financial accounting.
