Hi I'm Karen

I enjoy my life with my husband of 15 years, my career as a Nurse Practitioner, and a mother to two lovely girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married to a firefighter with two great girls. I work as a Nurse Practitioner in Emergency Medicine. I was raised as a Seventh-Day Adventist but converted to Mormonism at the age of 21. I love arts and crafts and playing the piano. I find it challenging sometimes to balance work, married life and motherhood but I am grateful to family, friends and my church family who help me stay afloat.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember as a child I would see Mormon missionaries riding their bicycles thinking "they are truly trying to make a difference in the world". When I turned 21 I married my husband who introduced me to the church. I discovered that all of the questions I had that my prior religious experiences couldn't answer, this church could answer. Having been a member for quite some time now, I have had many experiences that confirmed I am in the right place and making the right choices for myself and my family. I have a closer relationship with my family, an inner peace despite the chaos that the world can create, and a most importantly a closer relationship with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am active in my church which I find gives me joy and increases my faith. I have daily scripture study with my children and find that this always gets the day off to a good start. Having the knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father and the opportunity to be with my family for all eternity, keeps me grounded and striving daily to make good choices.
