Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a freshman at an arts school. I have played the Clarinet for 6 years. I love to play and watch sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a freshman at an arts school. I have been playing the clarinet for 6 years. I love music of all kinds. I enjoy watching and playing sports. Baseball is my favorite. I collect special baseballs and baseball cards. I have read several books and my favorites include To Kill a Mockingbird, Hoopster, The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, and Peace Like a River. I love to live life and enjoy every minute of it I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents have raised me to be a member of the church and that's how it will always be. The standards they taught me to live by have always stuck with me. I will always resist the tempation to do things that are harmful to my body. I believe that if we follow the commandments and standards that God has given us, I will someday make it back to Heaven to see my loved ones again. I am a Mormon because I have made a decision for myself that I want to be resurected and someday live again; and nothing will stand in my way while I strive to complete my life long goal.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by trying my hardest to do only the things my Heavenly Father would want me to do. I want to live with him again someday and so I am willing to resist tempation and endure til the end. I live my Faith by being an example to those around me who do not have the gospel in their lives.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Natalie
A ward of a branch is a community of people in which members of the church from the same area can become close to each other. It is a way for the members to develop friendships. It is also a way for members of the church to be there for each other and help one another. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Natalie
No, serving a mission is not required. Members of the church consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to serve the lord and preach his gospel. Typically, members of the church go on mssions when they are between the ages of 19 to 21. Many retired seniors also have the opportunity to serve on a mission if they would like. All missionaries can serve anywhere from 18 months to 2 years. Being a missionary is completely voluntary. No one is paid to go on a mission. Missionaries are the official representatives of the Lord's church. Show more Show less
