Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have three beautiful children. Our oldest is going to be 7 years old in less than a month and after many years of trying for more children we decided to do in-vitro and we were blessed with twins, a boy and girl. We really lucked out. It has definately been a change in our lives, but all for the better. All three of these children are our angels from heaven. I love being a mother and am lucky enough to be able to stay home with them. I love watching them grow physically, spiritually, and mentally everyday. It makes me happy to hear them laugh and to just look at them, I am truly so blessed. I have a wonderful husband who also adores these children more than anything. I love to stay busy and learn new things, I am always finding things to do (which sometimes my husband has different opinions about). I love to stay active, playing games and sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon/member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have a firm testimony that it is true. I believe that Christ lives and that he once lived and taught truth on this earth. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel on the earth and also is a true prophet of God. I know that through our Heavenly Father, Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have faith in many things and know that we can live with our Heavenly Father again after death. I know that I can be with my family for all eternity. That is one of the greatest blessings of the Gospel. And I know that it is only because and through our Savior Jesus Christ that we can all be saved. I know that Jesus is our perfect example. And that if I make a mistake that I can repent and be forgiven through Him. No one is perfect, nor ever will be, but our goal is to strive for it and not get down on ourselves if we mess up. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father love us so much and want us to live with them again, this is my hope. I know that if I do what is right and teach my children what is right, then I will be able to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example to my children and teach them what is right. I try to attend church every Sunday with my family. I was just released as Cub Scout Committee Chair and received a new call as a teacher ( I teach the women 18 years and up). I haven't taught yet, but am looking forward to it. I hope I will do well and that the spirit will fill the hearts of the sisters. I am grateful for this calling because I know that it will teach me and help me grow more. I am also a visiting teacher, which I love! I visit three sisters in our ward and get to talk and get to know them more and more. I love to give service, it makes me feel so close to my Heavenly Father. And visiting teaching is another way for me to serve.
