Hi I'm Jennifer

I grew up in Canada but have lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest and Southwest U.S.A. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My favorite people are my grandchildren, (1 granddaughter and 5 grandsons). I love being a mother to four children, now grown, but my grandchildren are my joy. I enjoy spending time with them as often as possible. I'm single and work full time in office administration. Over the years I've worked for medical clinics and construction companies. Currently am working with a promotional products supplier. I love to read, cook, enjoy nature, and socialize with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my parents wanted to be baptized into the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints (Mormon). I was baptized on the same day they were - in Canada, many years ago! Over the past 50 years I have read, studied and prayed about everything I've heard in the church. I'm so grateful to the wonderful example of my parents, who are still active and strong in the gospel. When I left home to go to college I received confirmation from the Holy Spirit that the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth again by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon (another testament of Jesus Christ) is true and I have received many blessings from reading and studying this book of scripture. I know that Thomas S Monson is the prophet for the earth at this time in our history. The most important knowledge that I have is that God and Jesus Christ are real and alive. God is a loving Father in Heaven who knows me - one of His daughters and Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I'm so grateful for the Atonement of Christ and all the blessings that are mine because of the sacrifice of God's son.

How I live my faith

At the current time my assignment in the church is to be a missionary - assisting the full time missionaries in my current congregation. I enjoy sharing my beliefs with people who are interested in learning about the Mormons and it's a wonderful experience to see how the gospel changes people and brings so much happiness into their lives. Part of my assignment is fellowshipping and teaching newly baptized members of our congregation. Over the years I've served in the adult Women's, Young Women and Children's organizations as a teacher or leader. I hope each day that I will be able to live with "an attitude of gratitude".
