Hi I'm Jessica.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a university graduate with a bachelor's in communication. I'm currently working as a Marketing Assistant in Arizona. I've been a runner since I was 11 years old. I love play all different kinds of sports—softball, volleyball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, etc. I also enjoy photography, videography and writing; they're beautiful ways to show others how you see the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But that isn't why I'm a Mormon. I feel I was blessed to be taught the gospel of Jesus Christ from birth. As I grew, I was faced with deciding if I believed in all that I had been taught. I went to a party after my senior state track meet; it was a disaster. I ended up alone in a room, crying. I wasn't where I wanted to be, and I felt like I didn't know myself anymore. I knelt down, and I prayed. I didn't know what to pray for, but I prayed. I prayed for comfort, for understanding, for peace. Instead of complete answers, I received an overwhelming feeling of love. I knew that if I continued to search for understanding in scriptures and in prayer I would get my answer. Now I have my answer. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love me. I know that I can receive understanding and help as I search for answers through the scriptures and prayer. I know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon testify of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I know that I am a daughter of God. I know for a surety that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church, and as I follow Christ's example, life will be good. Not perfect, but good.

How I live my faith

I love participating in service activities: cleaning, cooking, making blankets, gardening, etc. I love baking for others and visiting them. I know that I love when people visit with me and ask how I am—I try to turn that around and visit others to see how they're doing. I spent 15 weeks as a counselor for youth. Those 15 weeks were amazing. While it was great to be able to teach, the greater blessing was being able to learn from those youth. I help to create positive, fun activities for young adults in college. I am happiest when I'm serving others—service always brings happiness.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Jessica.
Nope. Just like anybody else, we look for those who most closely resemble our own beliefs and values. I've noticed that candidates I agree with are not always from the same political party. Show more Show less
