Hi I'm Carol Grover

I have been a dancer all my life, started at 3 years of age and retired after 45 years of teaching. Live in Spokane, I am a Mormon

About Me

I have raised 5 children, 4 boys and 1 girl. I have 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. I owned and operated my own business, a dance studio, for 45 years - teaching tap, jazz, ballet, and other forms of dance. Currently serving a service mission for the Church in the Employment Center. Have done two previous missions for Church Educational System - taught Seminary for 27 years. Family is the most important aspect of my life - being together brings great joy. Love summer, and water sports and the outdoors. I was converted to the Church at age 18, knowing my future husband and his family who converted me with patience and love.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had a belief of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Since I was a child I always knew He was there and felt there was more to religion than what I had knowledge of. When I was introduced to the gospel, through a high school friend, I met my future husband. He and his parents were patient enough with me to take the time - 18 months - to teach the doctrine of the gospel to me. It was the concept of familes being together forever that compelled me to study more. When I began to study the Church it opened my mind to the possibilities of learning more about my Savior. Little did I know it would give me the experiences, knowledge, opportunities that have blessed my life. There has never been a question in my mind that could not be answered by the truths of the gospel. I no longer "know" the gospel is true - I BELIEVE it with heart and soul. The spirit is strong in speaking the truths to my heart and mind - it guides my every step through this mortal experience and will always be the light to follow.

How I live my faith

My experience in the Church has been mainly teaching classes - to many age groups. However, 27 years ago I was called to be a Seminary Teacher for highschool ages. It turned out to be the love of my heart - teaching. It has given me such pleasure - yes, some stress and trials also - but it gave me the opportunity to study and learn to great depth. Five days a week of early morning, 6:00 A.M. necessitates being prepared and I loved both the responsibillity of knowing the gospel and then teaching it to minds that are searching. My husband and I were called on two missions of teaching Institute Classes - to college age students, here in Spokane. What a tremendous blessing! I recently was involved in a youth conference, July of 2011 - that was another blessing to present the Book of Mormon to 172 youth throughout the Spokane area.
