Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a wife a mother and I love to play sports and be outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 2 young children and married to an amazing man who is as strong in the church as anyone I know. He is a good influence and a worthy holder of the priesthood. I love my family and am so thankful to have them and know that I will be with them for eternity. I went to college and lived my dream of competing in sports at the collegiate level and competed in Track and Field as a triple jumper. I also love to play all sports and be active and do them with my friends and family. I love Colorado and all of the opportunity it provides to really enjoy the outdoors and all of God's creations. I love to hike, mountain bike and ski, just not camp. When the weather cool I always get in the mood to bake and I love to bake as well. It is a relaxing thing for me to do after the kids go to bed or a fun thing for us to do together!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I went because that is what I was supposed to do. As I got older I decided to do the things that the world makes so enticing. I stopped going to church for three years while I was in college. Until one day I finally answered the door when the missionaries knocked on my door. I know that the Holy Ghost led them to my house that day because I was finally ready to embrace the gospel and to know for a surety that I have a testimony of the church and the gospel and everything in it. I know that from that day forward as I chose to live the gospel my life as been blessed in so many ways. I have always known and felt comforted in knowing that even when things aren't easy my Heavenly Father is there to comfort me and help guide me in the paths my life should take. By following the commandments our Heavenly Father has given us I am more in tune to that love and to that guidance.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and everyday in the way I raise my children. I teach them the gospel and read scriptures with them, my husband and personally every day. We say our prayers as a family, a couple, and personally. I love the chance I am given to work with the youth in my ward. There is a great group of girls and we have so much fun. I hope that I can be there for them and an example to them and someone who can help teach them and understand the importance of our Heavenly Father's plan for us and not the world's. I love coaching them in volleyball and basketball and allowing them to participate in things and learn new things in a safe and loving environment with leaders who truly care for them. I love the group of women I go to church with to. It is amazing to have a group of people to visit with and lean on when you need a helping hand. We are always willing and ready to babysit for each other, make a dinner, or help pack when you have to move. It is a great feeling to have people to share not only your faith but your life. We truly are a family.
