Hi I'm Becky

I'm a mother of seven, a grandmother. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I'm a full time mother. I have seven children and two grandchildren. I can say my husband and children are my greatest joy and personal fulfillment. My dream as a teenager was to become a fashion designer, marry a handsome prince and become a mother. I looked forward to designing my daughter's dresses. Six sons later my desires changed and I found fulfillment in creating their team soccer flags. We were blessed to have our seventh child be a girl so now our family feels complete. I love soccer, baseball, volleyball and swimming as these are just a few of the activities my children enjoy. I come from a large family. My parent's family business created opportunities for me to learn sewing skills, fashion designing and the value of working together as a family. I love music, I grew up with a piano in my home. Cooking has become fun for me as I try out new recipes and see the pleasure good food brings to those I love. I love a good book, from novels to children stories. Reading is a special treat for me. Keeping up on all the latest new technology is my biggest hurdle, but I love a challenge! Which is why I do the Jillian Michaels workout CD's.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings ring true to my heart. Through living my faith I have come to know something of the great love my Heavenly Father has for me. My life has purpose and meaning. I was born into the LDS faith, a special blessing I will always treasure. I have found my faith to be my greatest source of strength and protection to me during challenging times and the motivation behind my desire to serve and love others the way the Savior did. It helps me want to become my best self and help others do so as well. My Faith has helped me balance my priorities and stay focused on the things in this life that matter most.

How I live my faith

I teach and help organize activities for young women ages 12-18. My teenage dreams to be a fashion designer has finally been fulfilled as I use my sewing skills to help my young women's design modest dresses. I have had many opportunities to serve the community through organizing and participating in disaster relief and humanitarian programs. I have learned that anything worthwhile requires effort. It's the small and simple day to day choices that make the biggest difference for me like morning prayer and scripture study. I have found that as I put the Lord first in my life I am more patient with my children and others. The daily emergencies and disappointments still happen, but my faith in Heavenly Father gives me the needed assurances and hope that things will work out.
