Hi I'm Tara Shawcroft

I grew up in Colorado. I am a mother of 4 and a registered nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently completed a nursing degree after being a stay at home mom for over 20 years. I love being a mom and homemaker but always had a desire to be a nurse. I have been able to accomplish that goal with the help of loving and supportive family and friends. I love to read and bake desserts. I most enjoy spending time with my family. My children are starting to leave home now and pursue there own lives and so time with them is special to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are members of the LDS church and so I was raised with the values and teaching of the gospel. I have always had a testimony of the truthfulness of the church. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and find comfort in its teachings. I feel that being a member of the church has given me the advantage of knowing that i am a daughter of God with a divine mission. Choosing to be a stay at home mom in a world that places so much importance on careers has never been an issue for me because I know that what I am doing is more important than anything else. I know the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and that living by it teaching brings happiness and joy. I have seen the Gospel in action in my family and and in the lives of others.

How I live my faith

I have spent my adult life in the chruch serving in all orgainizations. I have have worked with the youth in planning weekly activies and teaching them on Sundays. I have served with the older sisters in the ward though Sunday lesson, visiting them and providing meals when needed. I am currently serving with the nursery age children, those 18 months to 3 years, caring for them on Sunday with play time, lessons, song and fun. I have served in my community over the years by volunteering in the schools and sports organizations that my children have been a part of.
