Hi I'm Preston

I love to see people smile. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While my story began in Arkansas, I am quick to claim where I had most of my growing up in Texas as my roots. I am happily married to the love of my life. She is taking great care of me while I am in school studying accounting and Mandarin Chinese. I also have a great appreciation for my family, the three brothers and my parents that we drove up the wall every so often. I enjoy spending time with them, and I appreciate those moments I get now more than ever. Friendships are an important aspect of my life and I appreciate the work and rewards that are procured from true friends. In all reality, I just love being around people and seeing them have a good time wherever they are at. I enjoy hanging out on the bright side of things, being an active in the world and in the community, and spending as much time as I can with my lovely wife. I love communicating with people and motivating them to stand tall, it is a wonderful opportunity the Lord has given us to teach one another how to be more like Him and how to better serve our fellow man.

Why I am a Mormon

Very slow and steady was the pace set for my testimony to grow. Sometimes to my aggravation, but mostly to my benefit. I grew up in the church and I have never had the beams of light shining down from heaven telling me it is true. But because I wanted to know, I did what the Savior told us to do. I searched it out, pondered, and prayed. I am still here because I have felt the love of God in my life and I cannot deny it. Because I opened my eyes and saw the world around me for what it was...a BLESSING! Because I exercised my faith and I feel the answer every time I talk or think about it. Not a fleeting glimpse of passion that is here one moment and there the next, but a sense of knowing that comes deep from within and perseveres through the shadows and always brings me to the light. I know that these things we share are true. I know that they truly can bring joy and direction to our lives and peace to our souls. It is a wonderful thing and it can be as powerful as you let it. No Limits.

How I live my faith

There is much to be said about the power an example can have on all that see it. Whether it be good or bad, actually living what you believe is important and says a lot about a person's character. At this season in my life I am a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This entails me setting aside personal endeavors for two years to serve the Lord by inviting others to come unto Christ by helping them to receive the restored gospel through FAITH in Jesus Christ and His atonement, REPENTANCE, BAPTISM, receiving the gift of the HOLY GHOST, and ENDURING TO THE END. On top of this I do the simple things. I read my scriptures, I go to church, I PRAY! I keep myself spiritually clean and I help others do the same by the things I choose to do and say. The Gospel is a wonderful process and I love living it!
