Hi I'm Tyler

I am a father of three children. I work for the Air Force and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for nine years and during this time I have had three children with my lovely wife. I enjoy playing sports such as basketball, dodgeball, volleyball and football. Our family injoys going on vacation to Disneyland with members of our extended family. I have a Master's degree in Military History with a concentration in World War II. And I have been blessed to be able to serve in the scouting program for over three years now. I love to talk about my religion with anyone who wants to hear as well as learn about the beliefs of others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all of my life. My parents brought me up in the church and provided me with examples to follow. I am still a member of this church for many reasons, none of which have to do with being pressured by anyone or anything. For one I have gained a testimony for myself that this gospel is true and that God, our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ live. I was able to serve a mission for my church and was able to meet people from many different walks of life and was able to see this gospel change the lives of those around me. Two, I love the feeling of the Spirit that I feel when I am given the opportunities to teach and learn from others. It is a magnificent feeling to know that what you are teaching is the word of God and that it has the power to change the lives of others for the better. Three, I am thankful that I know where I came from, why I am here and where I am going. I hope and pray to bring as many others as I can to the truthfullness of this great gospel so that they can also know of the joy that God has to offer everyone.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with many opportunities in the church. First I have been able to prepare and bless the sacrament from a very young age and to realize the importance of it. I have been given the opportunity to help and teach other members of the church through service and home teaching. I have served a mission and was blessed to have my testimony strengthened through sharing it with others and watching the testimonies of others start and grow. I have been given numerous opportunities to teach the youth and Elders of the church and I hope that my teachings have been able to let others feel the Spirit of the Lord and bring them closer to a knowledge that he lives. The most important thing in my life however is my family. We try and have Family Home Evening every week to teach our children the importance of the gospel and Jesus Christ's role in our lives. I get my children involved in sports by playing with them and letting them know that I love them. I try to take every opportunity to teach them of the importance of following God's commandments so that they may return to live with Him.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Look at the way the seasons pass. Look how the Earth goes around the sun without bumping into the other planets. Look for the small miracles in your life and in the lives of others. Look at a person who has been spiritually reborn in the spirit and their change in heart to do good always. All of these things show that there is a God. All good things come from God and prove that He is. Show more Show less
