Hi I'm Carly

I'm a happily married mom with 3 kids, I love Arizona and sunshine - I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest joy in life is my family. Being a wife and a mom to 3 kids is more challenging than I ever imagined but also more rewarding than I ever thought possible. Nothing in life that is worth it is ever easy. Our oldest is a 7 year old boy with high functioning autism. To see how far he has come in the past 5 years is truly miraculous. As much as I know we were meant to be his parents, I know he was sent to us to teach us patience, dilligence, sacrifice and love. With him and our 3 and 1 year old girls, our home can be chaotic but it is full of love and I wouldn't have it any other way. When I'm not busy "mothering" I like to sneak out for date nights with my husband, play volleyball, and read good books. In my quest to be frugal, I have come to enjoy creating things myself instead of always buying them. I wouldn't consider myself crafty, but I have learned how to sew, paint, and fix up old furniture. I love making a house a home that is comfortable and peaceful. I would love to travel more some day and go to places like Europe, Australia and Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon Church and I'm so thankful to my parents for teaching me the Gospel. I have gained a testimony of my own and I cherish it. Knowing that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have a plan for me gives my life meaning and purpose. I know that through prayer we can communicate with them directly and receive revelation specific to our own lives. I know that my Savior died for me and can help me with any problem that I have. When no one else understands, He does. I know that if I live my life according to the principles of the Gospel and what I know to be true I will be happy.

How I live my faith

I try to be in tune with the Spirit enough to know when I am being prompted to do something- whether it's a thought that comes in to my head to call a friend or neighbor or an overwhelming feeling of love towards my husband or children when I'm upset or just a feeling of peace in a tough situation. I know that if I listen to the inspiratons that I receive I will be blessed and will be able to help those around me. I have found that it is vital for me to pray and read my scriptures daily in order to receive answers to problems that I have or needs of people I know. I am humbled and uplifted by the examples of so many friends, family, and fellow church members who help me want to be a better person. I know that through genuine selfless service we can find happiness.
