Hi I'm Caleb

I am a son, a biker, a reader and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a son of a loving mother and father that have helped me through school have been there to help me with all that I have found important in my life. As I start college I try and save money so instead of driving my car I have opted to ride my bicycle to work. I love being healthy and the things that I have learned from the Word of Wisdom have helped me more than ever. I am excited to learn to play sports with my friends and just sit down and have some quiet time and read a good book. Many things interest me but the best part is being with my friends and family joke around with them and just have a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child my mother was divorced and she eventually met my current father through myself because I had to apologize to him for something that I had done. They were married my father being the only member and my mother being a seventh day adventist I had to go to church all weekend and had to obey both sabbaths. I will always remember how happy I felt at my fathers church. I ended up praying at family dinner for us all to go to the same church, my mother was not happy about that thinking that my father had put me up to it or the church but it was far from the truth I felt something and I knew that it was true even though I was only 6. I knew. Continuing my life I had a challenging time through the rest of my life for my faith but the love that all the church members gave me even though I was not the most socially active child there. I continued to know that it was true. I eventually served a mission in Cambodia fluently learning the language and gaining a stronger knowledge that what I was doing was right. I read the Book of Mormon almost everyday and I study other scriptures with a hunger that helps me know that my Savior loves me. I now go to church because I choose to, nobody is forcing me I could easily just not go but I choose to because I have faith in what I have learned I have prayed, read and learned for myself that what I am doing is right. My testimony is independent of any other influence than what I believe to be a divine answer from heaven and I follow it.

How I live my faith

One of the blessings of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the opportunity to serve. I have been asked to teach in my branch I also serve in a few hours a week at one of our temples, I serve on friday being a college student it is a sacrifice because so many things that my friends do happen on friday but I choose to serve and wait until saturday to be with my friends. I live the commandments, among the plethora of books that I read I love reading the book of mormon I read this in Cambodian so that I can continue to remember my second language. I do many things to be "A Mormon" but my favorite part is being a friend to everybody and for some reason always being full of joy just to be alive and know that what I do everyday is the right thing. I share this with others as opportunities arise because it brings me so much joy and I know that this can be brought to everyone as well.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Caleb
We believe in prophets and the bible is a sacred text that contains the accounts of many prophets and servants of God. The examples of many of them are inspiring are true and can lead us to do that which is right in our lives. Guidance from deity for the church as a whole comes through Gods holy servants that are here to guide us. The bible is Gods manifestation of his love for us. Show more Show less
