Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Penang, Malaysia. I speak various of languages. Chinese, English, Malay, German and etc..

About Me

I'm a 23-years-old young adult. And, the only Son for both of my mom and dad. My dad is a Buddhist.. So, I'm a pioneer of this family. I'm going to graduate from Troy University, Troy, AL. I play the Violin. But, learning languages is my passion!!! I learned many languages! And, there's several that I'm good at. Such as, English, Malay, Chinese, German, Hokkien, and etc. Few years back, I had a serious depression problem. With God's assistance, I was able to conquer it. And, although I had that, it never stopped me from helping others and doing volunteering work, spreading the gospel and do what God wants me to. I could say that, Humanitarian is the BEST thing I'm good at! Thanks to the patience of my parents, I'm able to become a better person than before! Because of my depression, I'm able to see the world differently than others. I love to listen to the voice of the prophets. Two years ago, I baptized my mom and my sister!!! So, now, my mom is a member of this church too!!! I'm grateful for the awesome truth that God has provide.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a Buddhist, Taoist, Pentecostal, Roman Catholic, Protestant, Charismatic, Seventh-day Adventist, Assembly of God. But, why I'm now a Mormon??? I need to linked it to many years ago... I was so lost in any churches I attended.. I wanted to find the truth so desperately... There's so many churches... And, I went almost every of it.. But, there's no truth in it. I'll feel something weird when the church isn't a true church of God. Until a few months back. When there's a friend of mine was discouraging me to try attending Mormon churches. I was so anxious and go and search for it. I read through this website, Mormon.org and those fair-share anti-Mormon literature... I felt regardless of all that... I need to go and experience the church MYSELF and not depending on anyone's opinion. So, I spent almost 1-2 hours talking to those missionary that are online.. You can spot the "Chat With Us" button at the top of the website and beside your screen... That's what I used... The missionary there offered me that I leave my address to them and wait for a missionary to knock on my door and give me a copy of Book of Mormon... I told them.. I CAN'T WAIT!!! I felt the spirit so strong that I need to go to church that Sunday... So, I asked for the church address and went to the church the next day. From that day onward, my life had changed!!!! The thing that really confirms me that I joined the true church is the name of this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's Jesus Christ church!!! Not Baptist' church of anyone else's church!!! I believe that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are God one true church in this last dispensation. I believe that The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. And, I've strong faith in it!!! I believe that Joseph Smith, Jr. was called by God to restore these AWESOME truth that you can see in this website. I LOVE him too!!! All I say in the name of our mighty savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!!

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures such as the Holy Bible, the Book of Mormon, the church magazines every single day!!! I pray everyday too!!! As, I know that... To know the truth... And get the true answer... You can just ask God. As, He gives the ONLY true answer you want!! Of course!!! I attend church every Sunday!!! Never stopped!!!! I felt great each time I stepped into the church!!! The church members are AWESOME guys to hang out with!! I live my faith by keeping God's commandment, living a worthy life, act upon Jesus Christ name, and discuss any problems that I had with those church members.

As you read the scriptures everyday... You'll know much more about what God's plan for you and you'll live righteously. Of course, you'll get closer to God when you read the words of God. Jesus Christ also invites you to feast upon His words!!!! (The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 32:3). Jeremy
The activities of the Mormon missionaries are usually funded by the missionaries themselves. They save their money before that can serve a mission. Jeremy
No. We help EVERYONE that's in need! Our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had formed an organization, Mormons Helping Hand to help everyone that's in need! We helped during the recent Japan earthquake and one Tsunami that was happened in Indonesia at the year 2004, which affected my country and the place I stayed. Our church's Mormons Helping Hand was the first one to go and give assistance and help once they heard about the news. So, we could say that we follow the example of Jesus Christ! To help the sick and afflicted! Show more Show less

Jeremy
The Word of Wisdom is an instruction that was given by God to our prophet, Joseph Smith to keep our body in the best healthy state as it would be. In the Word of Wisdom, we're not allowed to drink Tea, Coffee, Alcohol and we shouldn't take tobacco and drugs at all. God promises us to give us blessings if we followed His instruction. Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Jeremy
From the New Testament, that after Jesus established His 12 apostles that the group or Quorum of 12 was to continue from the events of Acts Chapter 1 where the 11 apostles, under the direction of Peter, choose Matthias as the new apostle to replace Judas. And, the Twelve Apostles acts as a special witness of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jeremy
In order to enjoy eternal life and stay with our Heavenly Father for eternity, the Atonement of Jesus Christ is VERY VERY IMPORTANT! During Moses' time, in order to repent, they are ordered to sacrifice a clean animal in order to repent. After Jesus Christ came, this law was soon be abandoned. As, Jesus Christ died for us. He atone for our sins. He is the sacrifice. As soon as He was crucified and died, He created a special bridge as I called. The bridge connect us back to our Heavenly Father. He is the ONLY way for us to get back to our Heavenly Father. I enjoy calling Him our Mediator. He is the middle person who brings us closer to God. And, I believe that Jesus Christ want us to repent for our sins that we did and become as charity as He is. So, we could become Christ-like and as pure as Him. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jeremy
Pray!!! This is a promise that made by one of the prophet found in the Book of Mormon, Moroni. "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is." The Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:4-6 Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Jeremy
"Thou seest the formation of that great and abominable church, which is most abominable above all other churches; for behold, they have taken away from the gospel of the Lamb many parts which are plain and most precious; and also many convenants of the Lord have they taken away. 1 Ne. 13:26" The great and abominable church had taken away the most precious truth of the Bible and the covenants of our Lord! We had lost the truth. That's why the Book of Mormon is needed. To restore the fullness and the truthness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. "These last records, which thou hast seen among the Gentiles, shall establish the truth of the first, which are of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, and shall make known the plain and precious things which have been taken away from them; and shall make known to all kindreds, tongues, and people, that the Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father, and the Savior of the world; and that all men must come unto him, or they cannot be saved. And they must come according to the words which shall be established by the mouth of the Lamb; and the words of the Lamb shall be made known in the records of thy seed, as well as in the records of the twelve apostles of the Lamb; wherefore they both shall be established in one; for there is one God and one Shepherd over all the earth. 1 Ne. 13:40-41". So, the Book of Mormon played an important part on restoring the gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
