Hi I'm Natalie

I am a wife and mother. I teach seminary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel, to spend time with my family, playing tennis, reading, flower gardening, playing games and taking walks. I like to cook and bake. I also enjoy creating. My latest creation is homemade laundry soap. Made with old school ingredients and essential oils etc. I enjoy watching my children play sports and consider my family to be my best friends. I am so grateful my husband and I agreed that my staying home to raise our children was one of our highest priorities. That has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I am grateful for my sweet husband and the example he is daily for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the South. I was 9 years old when I was baptized. I attended a private Baptist school. As the only member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at my school, I realized very quickly, that I would need to find out for myself if I truly believed. I remember being taught by the missionaries. As they taught, I knew they were speaking truth. What they said made sense, things like: I have a loving Father in Heaven. That we lived with Him before we came to earth. That we need agency. That we are on this earth to learn and grow, and to prove ourselves. That Jesus Christ is our brother, that it is only through Him that we can return to live in our Heavenly Father's presence. As I have read the scriptures, pondered and prayed, I have found answers to life's questions. This has been a huge strength in my life. It also makes perfect sense that we would have a Prophet, on the earth today to lead and guide Christ's church. i am so grateful to have so much knowledge, and I know I still have much to learn. I love how family oriented we, as a church are. We realize the important role families play in this mortal existence, and know that families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I have always enjoyed volunteering in the schools my children have attended. Some of my dearest friends are the parents of my children's friends. We have hosted many team dinners, cast parties, etc, in our home. These are very fond memories. I find that true happiness comes from being the best person I can be, feeling good about who I am, and the choices I make every day. I have lots of room for improvement, but do not intend to stop trying. My "calling", as we say in the church is seminary teacher. I teach ninth and tenth graders at 5:30 am, every day that school is in session. Our text this year is the Old Testament. This is my fourth year teaching. This has been one of the most wonderful and difficult things I have ever done! As I have prayed for guidance in preparing my lessons, I have repeatedly felt the love of our Heavenly Father for each of the children I teach. This has been a great strength to my own testimony. The faith and dedication of my students is amazing!
