Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm a wife, I'm a mom of five great kids, I'm a Breast Cancer Survivor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family and enjoy many hobbies that have to do with creating. I married my sweetheart when I was 20 and we began our family soon. We've been blessed with three beautiful daughters and two wonderful sons. I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 36 years old.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm so grateful I know that I'm a daughter of our Heavenly Father. I know He loves me and I love Him. This knowledge carries me through my day. I know I can pray to Him anytime, anywhere. I know He hears those prayers and answers them. I love having this knowledge to bring me peace through the storms of life. I'm so grateful I can teach my children this. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know he suffered for me and he will bear my burdens. Sometimes this life brings us challenges that can feel dark and alone. Having the knowledge of my Savior brings light and hope during the times of darkness and dispair.

How I live my faith

I recently lost my sister to cancer. She was so brave and fought so valiantly. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that I will see her again! I know that because of temples we can be sealed together as families. This helps me get through each day that I miss my sister because I know where she is and I know I will be with her again. It helps as I watch her husband and children. They miss her and would love to have her here on earth with them still, but they know that they will see her again. All this is possible because of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father provided this plan for us. This is true! I believe that we show our love to our Heavenly Father by how we live our lives. I ask myself, "Am I kind? Do I treat people the way that Jesus would treat them?" I love to go to church each Sunday and feel the love and fellowship from the other members. I teach the teenage girls. I love to see their bright faces. I love when they run to me to give me hugs. I love seeing them learn new things. I have great hope in the next generation because of their strength and goodness!
