Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Brisbane. I'm a Mother, a wife and I work part-time in IT. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors, exercising and being in the company of my family and good friends. I am the mother of four beautiful daughters and wife of a devoted husband. I like having my nose in a really good book and I love to dance to my favourite music with my girls (or anyone really).

Why I am a Mormon

When I took the time to listen to the missionaries and I took all of the discussions that they offered over a number of weeks, they asked me if I would pray to our Heavenly Father and ask if these things were true. I was asked to pray with a real intent and a contrite heart. When I did this in my own time, I knew without a doubt that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I love learning the gospel and all about Jesus Christ. There is a depth of knowledge that I have not received anywhere else before. This has helped me understand what my purpose is here on earth which gives me a great reason to get out of bed everyday and love my family, friends and neighbours to the best of my ability. Studying and researching the scriptures is a priceless gift and I am so very grateful to have access to it.

How I live my faith

I have learnt so much about 'charity'. It means so much more than donating money to organisations. It's also about loving, forgiving, serving, listening and more. I try to be more aware of the needs of those around me and think of ways I can be of help. I am so mindful now of who I represent ie Jesus Christ. There is no better example to follow. I attend church nearly every Sunday and participate in many of the church activities. My children are learning so much about respecting others and also respecting themselves. And I thought this was a dying art. Not so.
