Hi I'm Burt

I grew up in southern California but now live in Arizona, a father of 4 children, a Regional Sales Manager and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is my family, but my work requires me to travel on a regular basis. I enjoy spending time with my wife and children when ever possible. since my children are now older the family has been expanding with spouses and now grandchildren as well. When we were younger we couldn't afford much but we didn't want our children to miss out on anything so at one point in or lives my wife and I both had as many as 7 different jobs. While it was very difficult it was absolutely worth it. I enjoy my job too. I have the opportunity to travel and to help my employees grow and develope themselves which I find very satisfying. Now that we are older and our children are grown my wife and i are enjoying our grandchildren and the extra time we have together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS Church which isn't always easy. My parents have always been strong members of the church and I admired them for their dedication to their belief. But as I got older I felt the need to build my own testimony. When I was 19 years old I decided to become a missionary for the church and served for 18 months in Mexico. This was the best choice that I could have made for myself at the time. I fell in love with not only the mexican people but the church as well. I learned that having a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ is not something that most people gain easily. It is an ongoing process that grows as you do. Since then I have also learned that testimonies are strengthened or weakend by others, but no one can take your testimony from you unless you let them. I love the gospel and the influence that it has had on my life and the lives of my family. It is the glue that holds our family together through difficult times and it is the joy that we all share in good times.

How I live my faith

I have been fortunate to be involved with the youth programs and teaching sunday school to the youth in the church for the last 6 years. it's great to work with teenagers and help them to learn some of the important life knowledge that they will need to help them grow in a society that is more influential then ever.
