Hi I'm Ginny

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I am a wife, mother, and a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother of many wonderful grandchildren whom I love dearly. I joined the Church as a very young adult. I love going to the temple and doing family history research and genealogy. Sewing is one of my talents, along with cooking. I love to travel and learn about different cultures. The Church has helped me to know the importance of family and God's plan for his children on this earth.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents lost their first two children as infants. As I grew up, I wanted to know more about my siblings and where they went. Because my parents had different faiths, we were never baptized as children. I was worried somewhat about this for myself and my siblings who had died as infants. I tried many faiths and did not find answers to my concerns. When I was in high school, a friend introduced me to his church. He asked me about my beliefs in God and more specifically if I thought God had a body. I answered yes, we are created in the image of God. He was able to answer my questions about children who die that are not baptized. I was so excited to learn the beliefs of his church about infants being blessed and given a name, but not being baptized and how we are not held accountable until the age of eight. I learned that my brother and sister went back to a loving Heavenly Father and were now in the Celestial kingdom. He had me read in 1 Corinthians 15:40 about the degrees of glory. I wanted to know more and started going to the LDS church. I was eventually able to have the missionary lessons and be baptized. I have been a member of the church for more than 40 years. It has truly been a blessing in my life. I know God loves all of his children and has a plan of happiness and wants each of us to return to His presence.

How I live my faith

I love to teach children and have been a teacher of all different ages. I have learned so much by teaching the youth in the church and outside of the church. I have been a swim instructor and taught many young children how to swim. I like to participate with other women in the church and have learned many valuable things through our association over the years. My life has been enriched in so many ways by being a member of the church and by giving service to others.
