Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a Singer. Musical Theatre is my passion. I'm currently serving a full-time mission in Scotland and Ireland. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and I am serving a mission in the Scotland-Ireland Mission. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made! I will be majoring in Musical Theatre and I am currently enrolled at Brigham Young University. As a future musical theatre major, singing is my first language and performing is my second. I have performed in all sorts of shows ranging from Little Shop of Horrors to Beauty and the Beast, from Fiddler on the Roof to Grease, from Side Show to Little Women; and I can't get enough of it!! I am passionate about music and the happiness it brings me. I so look forward to continuing this dream and living my life to fullest! I have 2 sisters and 1 brother and 2 loving parents who love me. My older sister is currently serving a mission in the Argentina Buenos Aires North mission and I love hearing about her adventures there. I love my family and my friends and the joy they bring me on a daily basis.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the gospel. I love Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I was born into the church, so I have been around it my whole life, but my true conversion to this church didn't happen until my sophomore year of high school. I finally learned for myself that the church is true and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. It was difficult because I was really doubting the church and doubting what I had been living my whole life, but after I learned for myself the meaning of the gospel it all made sense. My doubting of the church was me getting off of my parents' testimonies and developing my own. I had to learn for myself that the church is true, so that I could live my life with my own testimony and not living my life pretending to have a testimony, but really only living off of my parents' testimonies. I am grateful that I now truly have a testimony of this church. I am a Mormon because I want everyone to feel the same happiness that I feel on a daily basis. I want everyone to have the same knowledge of the truth and peace that I know. I want people to have that peace and the Holy Ghost with them as constantly as possible because I know that it is truly a blessing. If I make a difference in the life of just one person, then I know that this is a life well lived. I love this Gospel and I want others to have the blessings it brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I show that you can enjoy life to the fullest, have fun, and go crazy and do it in a safe manner, keeping everyone out of harms way both physically and spiritually. I am both humbled and honored to have been chosen to serve in the Scotland-Ireland Mission. It is a dream come true and really showed me that God hears our prayers and will provide for us if we are living his will. I know that by sharing the light you have in you, you don't divide that light, you multiply. I love being able to sing a song or share an experience that has brought me closer to Christ and feel the spirit that comes along with something so precious and pleasing unto God.
