Hi I'm Evan

I grew up mostly in Utah. I'm a engineer, a husband, a photographer, and enjoy the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior in collage studying mechanical engineering. I'm married to a wonder woman that supports me in all that I do. I love photography mostly taking pictures of the outdoors and editing them. I love hiking, backpacking, camping and sailing. I also enjoy flying RC airplanes and helicopters. I’ve traveled over most of the western United States and had the opportunity to visit Canada on a dance tour. I had the wonderful opportunity to serve among the Hispanic population. During my time there I fell in love with the people, culture and language.

Why I am a Mormon

This is an excellent question. It’s a question that every member has had to ask in some degree at some point in their lives. I’m a Mormon because the life style of keeping the commandments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ brings a feeling of peace and happiness that can only be expressed with the humblest of words. There have been times in my life when this feeling or spirit wasn’t present, and I never want to be there again. Looking back at those times and comparing them to now, there is a huge difference. Not only have I seen this change in my life, but I have seen the change in many other friends of mine that were far from the path that Christ taught. I’ve watched them turn to Jesus Christ, and through his atonement changed their lives. These friends now have a light and purpose. I’m a Mormon because these teachings give direction and strength in difficult times. It strengthens the relationship that I have with my wife and family. It heals deep losses from deaths of loved ones because we can live with those loved ones again after this life and I know that they are in a better place.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to have a positive, happy attitude, one that I hope others feel comfortable around, and can feel the love of Heavenly Father through. I serve in the church by teaching classes, and visiting and fellow shipping the members. I also look for opportunities to serve in the community.
