Hi I'm Jennifer.

I am the oldest in a family of four children. I teach school. I love reading and sports. I try to serve others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest child in a family of four children. My parents are currently serving a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. I've been a junior high and high school teacher for 13 years now. My major was history, but I teach English (which was my minor). My favorite teaching job was several years ago when I taught a 1/2 day of U.S. History along with Freshman Honors English. I just finished a Master's degree in American History, so hopefully I'll move back over to this field in the next little while. I love to read. I love sports, but I also enjoy attending plays as well. I enjoy reading and cross-stitch.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I was a Mormon because that was the religion that my parents and grandparents and great-grandparents were members of. As such, it was just part of family life. However, as I grew older, I came to a point where I made the choice to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I evaluated various options and choices and felt strongly that this was the place for me.

How I live my faith

The Bible teaches that Christ was a perfect example in everything...and that's how I try to live my faith. I have to work extra hard on controlling my temper and try to remember to help others when it would be easier to just take care of me rather than being unselfish. I work with the children in the church currently. I get to encourage them to have good manners and to be kind to others and to make good choices.
