Hi I'm Peter

I am a missionary in Taiwan, I was baptized 11 years ago, I went to an all boys catholic highschool, I knock that and im a mormon.

About Me

My family and i moved into the inner city when i was a freshman, and i loved it! I got to experience a lot of diversity before being assigned to serve a two year mission in Taipei Taiwan. I love to draw, write, play lacrosse, and speak and debate. I am also killer at ping pong (and only getting better in Taiwan). I love meeting new people and exploring new situations. Traedon Casper is my friend. I think im funny but i am also fairly sure that anyone who makes this assumption about themselves isn't! haha so i will say that i like to make people laugh! whether its at me or with me i may never know!

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout Highschool i was a very logical thinker. My school really tested my ideals and called me to justify and mold my view of God to something i could live with throughout my life. This began to discourage me because i wasnt sure what i wanted from God. so i didn't really focus on my religion. But as my friends and i began to discuss the world and our purpose from a more philosophical perspective i realized that every single one of my logical thoughts and ideas was corroborated by the Gospel that has been restored to us by Jesus Christ through Joseph Smith. I realized that my faith was not about what i wanted from God, but what He wanted from me! I am a Mormon because i know that God wants the best from us. I am a Mormon because i know that this church fosters support and charity and love. I am a Mormon because i know that the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith's restoration, Jesus Christ's Sacrifice, And Gods Love are all real. I am a Mormon because i know this church is true!

How I live my faith

I served a lot in my area! the greatest experience i had was that i was assigned to check in on a man named Al, he was a really good guy who loved to talk, so we were perfect for each other! i quickly learned that Al had served in both World War II and Korea and so our conversations lasted forever. I would give Al a ride here and there in my red Prius (which im convinced he was sufficiently embarrassed to be seen in) and he would share some of the most interesting stories with me. We had a lot of fun times and he taught me so much and i miss him everyday, but I feel that it is in experiences like these, when we truly learn to love someone, that we start to draw closer to God!
