Hi I'm Lanie

I was a teen mom. I am a Boise State Bronco. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a very small town. I graduated Salutatorian of my graduating class of only 16. The end of my junior year of high school I had my daughter. I never married her dad, but did marry my childhood crush and fellow classmate. I am currently attending college for a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. My husband is also a college student. My daughter is attending preschool this year. I am a childcare worker.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into the church and as I have gotten older and made my own choices that was at the top of my list. My parents raised me in the church and I never questioned my beliefs or the churches teachings, but I made a choice in my life that strayed from the churches teachings. I did all I could to correct that choice and reclaim my life and do what I needed to make it better. I have learned that I made that choice for a reason and it brought me to a man that believed what I did and would do whatever possible to stay true to the teachings of the church. After a year of marriage we were sealed in the temple and we couldn't be happier. I know my Heavenly Father gave me my daughter to open my eyes to what I wanted not just for my future, but for my children's future and in turn he gave me my husband which has only furthered me in the church and being a contributing member.

How I live my faith

I teach 4, 5, and 6 year olds during Sunday School on Sundays and sometimes participate in other activities for kids. I attend all my church meetings regularly and really enjoy what it brings to my life.
