Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a Mormon. I am married with 1 son and another on the way! I am a dental student and a member of the Army Reserve.

About Me

I am a husband, father, and student. Dental school keeps me busy and away from my family more than I would like, but we make the most of our time together and keep telling ourselves "a few more years and school will be over." When I am not studying or spending time with my wife and son I am riding my motorcycle or target shooting at the local shooting range.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints is Christ's true Church on the earth. I was born Mormon and grew up attending church, so I knew lots about the doctrine that the Church taught, but it wasn't until I was a teenager that I think I really began to feel the doctrine that I was being taught. Growing up in the Midwest I was surrounded mainly by people not of my faith who often didn't understand why I lived the way that I did. I realized that if I were going to keep living what I had been taught then I needed to know for myself that it was true. I began being more earnest in my prayers, studying the scriptures more diligently, and paying more attention in church. I can't tell an exact date when I can say that I knew the Church was true, but it slowly and surely came to me and I am thankful for that testimony of the truth that has helped guide my life ever since.

How I live my faith

I am the Sunday School President in my Ward. I train teachers, do my best to make sure Sunday School classes are running smoothly, teach special classes as assigned, and substitute for the regular classes for youth and adults as needed. I try to be the best example of a Mormon to the people around me. People will often find it odd to ask me things that pertain to my religion because they don't want to offend me, but I welcome the questions and hope that I am doing my best to show them a positive example of what it means to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints.
