Hi I'm Chaille

I was born and raised in Alaska. I am a mother of 4 girls and now 4 boys (better known as son-in-laws). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska. I love to be outside, whether it’s working or playing, it’s all good. My husband and I are parents to 4 daughters and you could say our world is pretty “girlified”, but we now have added 4 boys, as in son-in-laws to the mix. Now a growing group of grandkids are the sprinkles on top. I love to rescue old and worn things to re-do or repurpose. Weather it's furniture, shrinkin wool sweaters or rescueing vintage campers, I am happy having busy hands. I have found great joy in serving within my family as well as the community and church. Having a Christ centered focus gives my life a long term or Eternal perspective. Most important thing to me is to be with my husband and children and their families for eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon faith. The “faith of my fathers” would be a true statement, but in my late teens it was time for me to choose my own direction in which I would live my life. It was time for me to figure out personally if the things that I had been taught, as well as the Mormon lifestyle, were really what I wanted. I became a little rebellious and made some choices that were not in line with the way I was raised. It didn’t take long for me to see that by living the standards of the gospel, it really did make my life happier as well as easier. After some inner turmoil, I decided to jump into living the standards of the gospel with both feet instead of continuing to test the worldly waters. I must say… best decision of my life. The gospel has given my husband and I a common goal as well as a Christ centered direction in raising our family. Our girls knew and know our ultimate goal of living as a family for all eternity is the most important thing to us. The gospels of Jesus Christ, in conjunction with the sealing ordinances of the Temple, are the keys to our families’ goal.

How I live my faith

Because I know my Father in Heaven lives, and loves me, I want to do all I am able to love as he would if He were here. Weather it is my family, friends or strangers, just to make someone else’s life a little easier, a little happier. I love to serve in the church. Having the opportunity to work with Youth, Young Adults or Women of the Church, there are so many good people doing good, hard things and sometimes all they need is a friend, and someone to cheer them on when life throws out a rough patch. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ so I, as imperfect as I am, may have the opportunity to return to live with Him someday. Having the knowledge that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father, and recognizing that we are all children of God helps me to look at those around me in a little different light, and more fully love people.
