Hi I'm Mary

I love to dance and play the piano. I am a military brat that has traveled and lived all over the world. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in three countries; the U.S., Italy, Germany. And because of that I have had the opportunity to travel my whole life. Traveling is my favorite thing to do. I am all about seeing new things and places, learning about new cultures, and being spontaneous. I am huge on adventure and doing things that challenge me...like serving an 18 month mission that is solely centered on serving the Lord by preaching His gospel. I am currently serving a mission in Scottsdale, Arizona-Spanish speaking. I really enjoy learning and speaking Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, baptized when I was 8 years old. As i've gotten older and stayed firm in the gospel, I have been able to feel the spirit and watch the power of Christ's atonement work in my life. Each step I have taken to getting closer to our Heavenly Father has blessed me in so many ways. At this point in my life, I couldn't imagine not being a mormon. My standards have made me the person I am today. But I only came to know that this church was true through prayer. Prayer is central to any person's conversion on this earth. I asked to know the truth of the gospel and I was given an answer. You can too!

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to others. Keeping high standards for myself and setting a high bar brings me closer to Heavenly Father. I have faith in Jesus Christ that he is our savior. My faith is shown through all of my actions and decisions. I love serving the Lord and helping others to know about him and about his love for each and everyone of us.

What is being a Mormon like?

Mary
Being a mormon honestly, is so fun! I love every part of it. We get together and do activities as a church all together..all the time. We set high standards for ourselves so that we can become like Jesus Christ, a perfect person. All my life, i have been teased and made fun of for being Mormon. But really, it never gets to me. Being mormon is the best thing that has ever happened to me. A lot of people say we "can't" do some things that the rest of the world does. (like drink, smoke, cuss, date till we're 16, etc.) But i don't like to think of it as we "cant," because we can. We can do anything we want to do because we have agency. Which is why we choose to just not do those things because we feel they get in the way of a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
