Hi I'm Bryce

I am a medical student. I love hiking and camping. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in northern Utah, but my family moved around as I grew up. I'm in medical school currently. I like to hike and camp and do things outdoors. I love traveling and seeing new places. I pick up a good novel when I get the chance; right now I'm working on some of the classics. I also love working with youth; I've been able to do so in summer camps as well as by working at a treatment center for drug addictions for a year.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church my whole life, but this doesn't mean I've always believed or followed everything the Church teaches. Over the years, however, I've learned how much I need Jesus Christ in my life. Every time challenges come up in my life, when I turn to God in prayer I find peace and answers to my questions. I especially find answers to life's questions in the scriptures we use in the Church, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. These scriptures give me daily guidance. Jesus Christ is my Savior and I rely on Him for my salvation. I follow the gospel of Jesus Christ because it gives me peace, and I am a Mormon because through the Church I gain perspective about the purpose of life. My own life gains purpose and I understand better what I need to do in life to be happy. I love God, Jesus Christ, and the Church.

How I live my faith

Where I live, I go to a church group that is only single people. Our singles "ward" is a place where I can meet other people my age and in similar circumstances that share my faith. We do activities weekly at the church and also at each others houses. Other singles teach classes at church and give talks in meetings. We are strengthened by each other. This summer before I moved, I had the chance to be a counselor for a youth camp run by the Church. I was able to teach youth the gospel in a setting where we had spiritual activities, as well as do some adventurous things like white-water rafting. It was great!
