Hi I'm PAUL

I'm a Mormon.I was born in El Salvador but grew up in Southern California. I work for the Federal Government & have 3 children.

About Me

I'm the youngest of eleven children. My mother join the LDS church a few weeks before I was born in El Salvador. I got my middle name given to me in honor of one of the LDS missionaries that taught my family. I have attended two community colleges and four universities before I finally graduated with my BA degree after 18 years of trying to finish. I met the most beautiful woman in the whole world while going to BYU. I have the best children in this planet. I love to read books that teach me to get closer to my Heavenly Father. I love helping other people. I love going on vacation with my family. My happiest moment happen when I'm with my family. I love being home and spending time with my wife and children. I speak Spanish fluently and love helping others that struggle with communicating from Spanish to English.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 10 years old my brother was killed by a local gang. My brother has just returned from serving a two year mission from the LDS church. I had just moved from El Salvador to California a few years before this happen and was attending a different church. My brother kept himself in the LDS church. When my brother was killed, I had many questions such as: Where did I come before I came to earth? Why am I here on this earth? Where will I go after I die? I asked the church I was going these questions but they couldn't answer these questions to my satisfaction. My brother who had passed away had many friends in the LDS church and they all came to comfort our family. This was an amazing thing to witness after not knowing what to do with the event of losing my wonderful brother. The LDS missionaries came and taught my brother and me the gospel of Jesus Christ and it all came together. All of my questions were answered and a sweet feeling came to me and told me that what they were teaching was true. I have now found out that this sweet feeling was the Holy Ghost testifies of truthfulness of the message. I know I will see my brother again and I could be with my family not just for this life but forever! I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and has given me a family so I could learn how to love like He loves. I know that I will see my Heavenly Father again and live with Him and my beautiful family.

How I live my faith

I love working with members of the church. I know that we are all busy but it’s so nice to see how people make time to serve each other. I work with the Bishop of our ward to serve the members of our ward. I also go to the Special Commitment Center at a nearby Island to teach the inmates about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I go to work and try to live my life so that people will want to know why I'm so happy. I try to be good so that if I were to leave this earth I would be ready to meet my maker. I have many problems but I pray as often as possible for help and I know that God hears my prayers. I know that He's with me and will help me with my challenges of the day. I have a son who is 13 and is my companion to go hometeaching for our church. I love being with him and watch him teach the families we have been assigned. The hometeaching program of the church is a program that allows us to take care of the families that have been assigned to you. I know that when I serve others I'm also serving God!
