Hi I'm Margaret

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Copley, Ohio and I joined the church when I was 17 yrs. old.

About Me

I am a mother to six children, and am currently a stay at home mom. I love to sew and find excercising outside a good time to clear my head. I have a fascination with the ocean and often long to be at the beach, because I find peace there. I also love to read books, and my favorite author is John Grisham. I also love the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency book series. When I read, I'm taken away for awhile, like to Africa, or Italy. But my most important, and favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I am so lucky, because the members of my family are my very best friends. I am also blessed to be married to my best friend Ron. Like most families, we are not immune to difficulities, and trials. I have found, dealing with difficult situations with grace and gratitude, help me to deal with painful situations much better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 17 when the missionaries knocked on my door. Over the course of 6mo. to a year, I decided to join the "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." It was a very personal decision for me because I knew my life would change forever. At 17, things of the world, and friends were very important to me, and Church was the very last thing on my mind. After I decided to pray (sincerely), I got a very real "feeling" that I should join this church, and not care what others thought about me. Yes, I lost all my friends (save one), and was even made fun of for awhile, but somehow, it just didn't matter anymore what others have said. I noticed, that when I was following the commandments something amazing happend to me. I was happy! Really, truly, deep down happy. I started thinking less of what I wanted out of this world, and changed to thinking, What can I contribute? I wanted to be better, act better. I wanted to be more of a "Producer", and less a "consumer." Yes, my life really took a turn, and I know I don't want to return to the person I was before.

How I live my faith

By small and simple things done daily, I live the gospel. At the end of the day, I wonder if I've hurt anybody, or if I have been honest in all my dealings. I have told my children, "what you do, when nobody is looking, becomes your true character of who you are." Everyday, I try to live by that statement. As we all make mistakes, it's important to rectify mistakes early on, before they become big problems. Living my faith becomes an everyday way of life, not just on Sundays. I know that we have a loving, and caring Father in Heaven who is still very much intrested in our dealings, our thoughts and feelings. I know that when I choose everyday to be kind, or to walk away from a difficult situation, I become closer to Jesus Christ. To live as he would live, is my ultimate goal.
