Hi I'm Jordan

I play music. I play tennis. I love living. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Eastern Washington and at a pretty young age I became enamored with music. All throughout high school me and my friends played shows and had a blast writing and just playing together. I've always had a great love for life and I just enjoy smiling. I've gone through some tough times in my life like any other person but what really makes me happy is putting a smile on another person's face and just helping them out. In my life I've learned that our circumstances aren't what make us great but it's our attitude. I try to live with a positive attitude and I absolutely love friends. Things are just things but friendships last. I'm currently living in Colorado in Denver and I've been here for a year and a half now. Colorado is great. We have the Rocky Mountains and some of the best skiing in the world. It's gorgeous here.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that God speaks to us. I believe that we can all have a relationship with him and I believe that he always wants what is best for us. He has taught me that the teachings of His Son, Jesus Christ, are true. Joseph Smith said that Mormonism is to testify of Jesus Christ. That is why I'm a Mormon. Because Christ is the Savior and he gives us truth.

How I live my faith

I spend a large part of my life teaching and helping people come unto Christ. It's the biggest joy I get out of life when people find healing through his love. I love embracing his gospel to the fullest by going to the Temples that we have to worship in which are houses of God, by reading from the Bible and Book of Mormon, by having a relationship with him through prayer, and just by doing what I know is right. I do all of these things because when I do them I show God how much I love him and in return he blesses me and helps me through the difficulties that always come in this crazy life. To sum it up, I live my faith by following the example that Christ set and by doing the things that I know will bring happiness in this life and the next and I know that by experience. Any person can know the same things by earnest study and prayer to our Heavenly Father and reading the word he has given us in the scriptures.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jordan
The only way any person can know the truth of the Gospel is by study and prayer. In the Bible, Jesus told Peter that God was the one that taught Peter that Jesus was the Son of God. It didn't come from being around Jesus or even seeing his miracles. In the same way we can only know what is absolute truth by experimenting on the words God teaches and then asking him in honest and sincere, heart-to-heart prayer. That is the only way. What is being a Mormon like?

Jordan
Because God blesses those who follow him and gives us the opportunity to choose for ourselves being a Mormon is the most defining thing about me as a person. I understand what's God expects of me, why we are here, where I'm going and the choices I need to make to get to where I want to be. Being a Mormon is like having the road map of life and having God say, "There it is. Do it and you will be happy. Don't do it and you will be miserable." Believing what I believe has brought me more satisfaction than any other single thing that I have done. Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Jordan
No we don't and it hasn't been that way for well over a hundred years. It is a commandment that certain people have lived throughout history, only when God permits it. At this time he has told us that it isn't something we should live or practice so we don't do it. Anyone who says otherwise is either misinformed or just straight up crazy. Show more Show less
