Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mom of two and a full time student working towards my Elementary and Special Education degrees. I enjoy running, playing sports, cross-stitching, volunteering at my children's school, and spending time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ, with it's latter-day revelation, gives my life direction and stability. In a world full of chaos and changing standards, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me raise my children to be the best they can, learning respect for all people no matter their religion, culture or any other differences they might have. His church has also helped me realize that it is okay that I am not perfect, and that I can not only be saved if I live His word, but I can live with Him, God and my family forever. I have had the opportunity to marry my husband, not until death do us part, but for eternity, and I will have my children with me forever too. Being a Mormon allows me the opportunity to serve others while becoming a better person myself.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in every ascept of my life. I start my day with family scripture study and family prayer, and end my day with family prayer. I enjoy spending my time serving people not only of my faith, but of my community. I spend hours a week volunteering for my children's school and serving in my ward. I have spent most of the last eight years working with the Primary children, ages 1.5-12. This not only consisted of Sunday lessons, but weekday activities, singing and service. I never hesitate to help out when possible as I know that real happiness comes from serving others.
