Hi I'm Jimmy

I'm a Mormon, have been for 35 years.

About Me

I've been a member since 1976. My wife grew up in the church. We have three sons and all served missions, 2 in Utah and 1 in Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Methodist, but something was missing. I met a young lady in 1974 who introduced me to the church. She has been my bride now for 35 years. From my first day attending church with her everyone made me feel like I was already part of the ward.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to my friends and family members who are not members of the church

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Jimmy
Members attending Sunday services will most likely be wearing their “Sunday best,” which may include suits, sport coats, and ties for the men and modest dresses or skirts for the women. Children also typically dress up for Sunday. Members of the Church celebrate Christmas and Easter, regarding these two events as the most spiritually significant days in history because of the birth, suffering, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Church members also celebrate the regional and national holidays of the countries where they live. Church members also celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and similar events. Show more Show less
