Hi I'm Mark

I'm a IT guy, love to know how things work, way too obsessed with my lawn and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Come from a pretty adventurous family with 5 kids - and i am right in the middle - so i need alot of attention. Grew up with them having some great fun in Mesa Arizona and actually miss the smell of the dairy that used to be there. High school was some ho-hum but i did get a job at a road side fruit stand that i really enjoyed. Not related to that was the computer field that i am in now, type type typing away most the day. I really like to know how things work - sometime to my detriment. I wanted my lawn to look the best on the block so i redid my sprinklers 3 different times to get the most efficient water coverage. Pretty much the best thing about me is my wife who i totally adore. You may find us walking, running, watching some good comedy tv, chilling with family or fake arguing about the most random things - but hey - thats us.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a friend describe to me how to put texture on drywall, and my how i understood how to do that - but when i actually went to do it - i learned that i really had no idea how to do it the correct way that he had showed me. Just like that - my understanding of a subject totally changed. That is a piece of what life is about - getting to have a real understanding of things. And it changes based on our experiences - and helps us react to things, or handle them, or what we we believe about those things. I have had experiences that intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and socially that has directed my life toward religion, has been influenced by it, has changed it. And while religion comes with varying degrees of responsibilities and rules - it all works together to help us understand ourselves, where we have been, and our direction. Ultimately, I am a mormon because I was blessed to be exposed to it, blessed to be apart of it, blessed to be moved by it - and blessed to be a member of it. And through experiences where i have been filled with the fruits of the spirit - have felt of the goodness of the faith - and touched by it - I have become a better person - and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Every morning I wake up and have to choose different things - choose to get out of bed - or choose to take a shower - choose what to eat - and on. I choose to live the way that would make my father in heaven be ok with me. My speed down the road isn't always constant, nor is the line perfectly straight, but eventually i hope I make it to my destination. That takes some attention to speed, and minor or major course corrections. Now I don't always make the correct decisions - but I try - always thinking of that correct direction.
