Hi I'm Doug, and I'm a Mormon.

I work for our local Paper Company as a Maintenance Planner. I grew up in Lewiston, Idaho and joined the Church at the age of 19.

About Me

My name is Doug, and I am married to a wonderful woman who is my best friend. I am a Father of five grown children and also a Grandfather of twelve. They all fill my life with more than I could have ever hoped for. Spending time with family, is a priority in our life. Knowing that through worthiness, I may be with each of them forever, is my greatest desire. The opportunity of service in the church and in our community has enriched my life and provided me opportunities to grow personally. Today, I serve in my Ward as a teacher to youth ages 16-18 years old. What wonderful people they are! Our future is in good hands.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church at the age of 19 because of a burning testimony of the Book of Mormon, that it was the work of true Prophets of God. All these years later, that testimony is still the basis of my belief. The positive effect of the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and on the life of people that I have come to know has strengthened my testimony even more. I have been blessed to see people living unhappy lives changed by the power of repentence, provided by a loving Savior, Jesus Christ. What a great opportunity we have as deciples of Jesus Christ, and members of this Church to literally listen to true Prophets of God, giving council to us so that we can live better lives and prepare to see our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

Each week, I have the opportunity to teach youth ages 16-18 years of age. They are amazing to listen to and to be around. If youth everywhere are like them, our future looks very bright!
