Hi I'm Makenna

I'm a runner, a music lover, and a best friend. I'm a big sister and I'm a mormon!

About Me

Im in the 9th grade, high school. At school I joined the cross country team and I love every minute of it. Yeah it's a lot of running, but I enjoy it. I love music as well. I like to listen to pop/rock and country. As well I play 3 instruments, piano, violin, and cello. I've played piano for 8 years, switching teachers in the middle though. I've played violin for 3 year, I played it through school. I've played cello for only about a year, at the time I was already in the class for violin so if I wanted to play cello I had to take time off and play it during my lunch time. Im also very athletic. I play cross country, track, and soccer. I also enjoy hiking and biking. My parents where divorced when I was 5 years old. Since then it's been really hard, even being the oldest and having to deal with all the problems between parents, but I just tell myself everyday that its all going to be ok.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my whole life. My parents had me going when I was a baby and they where going when they where my age. I love the gospel, it gives you strength to over come bad choices. I have many goals in life and to achive them, I need to stay out trouble. The gospel helps me get through hard times. Reading my sciptures and just humming a soft church song. The feeling of the holy ghost is so strong in my heart that I could never think the gospel wasn't true. Even though I'm still yongh and I don't understand things very well, i still know that this church is true. One time I did make a big mistaken and I wish I had never done it, but through the gospel and the knowlegde I recieve from it I know I will be forgiven.

How I live my faith

I love going to church. The youth that are in my classes are an amazing bunch and the gospel is so helpful in life. Being in the youth programs are a lot of fun and I just love every minute of them. I love planing activities for the youth as well, you can come up with just about anything and you just have fun with it! One of my favorite things to do at church on Sunday is give a talk. I just enjoy it so much, you learn so much about your topic and then you get to share your findings to the rest of the ward. I always accept a talk with a big smile on my face. Every morning I attend seminary, and I love it! I feel myself understanding the scriptures more, and I'm so happy I am! Yeah, its early in the morning but it helps you feel more happy and alert during the day, and its a great blessing.
