Hi I'm Carol

I am a child of God, an American, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of eight children, mother of seven who raised nine children, and grandmother of thirteen. I am married to a wonderful man who supports me in my endeavors and is a loving, caring father and grandfather to this crew that he inherited when he married me. I love being a wife, mother, and grandmother. I am also an artist. I create jewelry with beads, wire, string, old watch parts, and whatever else I can get my hands on. When I am not creating jewelry I am creating works of art with watercolors. I am such an eclectic person in my likes that my paintings are varied in nature. I paint traditional works, contemporary paintings, and abstract works. I love being an artist. I am a child of God and love Him and my Savior, Jesus Christ, with all my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

My family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was nine years old, so I was basically raised in the Mormon Church. I have always loved the teachings of the Church and the fact that it centers on Jesus Christ and on the family. I am ever so thankful that Joseph Smith devoted his efforts to restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ under Jesus' direction. I believe the Book of Mormon to be a record of people directed to the American Continent by Heavenly Father and I believe it to be another testament of Jesus Christ. I believe it contains the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that if we live by the principals in the book we can one day return to live with our Heavenly Father. I believe we have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, on the earth today and that the Church is set up as it was in times of old with prophets and apostles. I believe these men are called of God and dedicate their lives to fulfilling His direction. I believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and because of His atoning sacrifice we can enjoy eternal life. I am so thankful for His willingness to sacrifice His life on our behalf. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live and have resurrected bodies of flesh and bone and that we, too, can be resurrected an regain our bodies. I look forward to the time I can return to the Heavens to dwell with my Father in Heaven and my wonderful Savior.

How I live my faith

I try each day to live my life as Heavenly Father would have me live it by following the example set by the Savior. I try to treat my fellow men with love and respect and to treat my body with reverence by avoiding harmful substances such as alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, etc. I pray often and try to read the scriptures daily as I seek guidance for my life. I have served in many callings in the Church over the years. I have taught the youth and the adults in Sunday school classes and in the women's organization. I have taught genealogy and teacher development classes. I have organized classes to teach women various homemaking and personal enrichment skills. I am currently a compassionate service leader and help to organize service projects for those in need in my ward. My husband and I are also going to serve a service mission in our area soon. I am excited with each new position I serve in. I learn so much and am pleased to aid in the work of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
