Hi I'm Kim

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah but now live in Washington with my husband and kids.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mother of three kids. I stay busy running them around to soccer games, school and church activities. I'm more of an indoor sports kind of girl. In other words, I'd rather run around creating things out of paper, paint and anything else you'd score in a craft store than anything that involves a net. I love music and am always amazed by those talented people who can write, play and sing. It may not be my strongest talent but I definitely can turn up my CD player and sing along. There are many things I still want to do and places I want to go but until the time is right, I'm just grateful to be where I am and who I'm with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong LDS family that dates back to when the gospel was restored through Joseph Smith. Having said that I have had to learn from my own experiences that this church was true. Inheriting a religion from your family can only point you in the right direction not give you the faith you need to continue. Thankfully, I have had many opportunities to grow and learn and now have a pretty solid testimony. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am so thankful for a Father in Heaven that has given my countless blessings and trials which have only stregthened me and when I look back over my life, I can't imagine not being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I try hard to live my faith through being an example and talking about the gospel with my own family and within the ward in which I live. I am blessed that I get to serve and teach with the primary children in the ward from ages 3-11 and have so for many years. They are so smart and love learning about Jesus Christ and His teachings and make church a great experience for me. One of my other callings is overseeing the cub scouts and what an adventure that can be. I am so glad that the scouting program and the Mormon church are able to combine in such a way that these boys can learn and practice skills that will make them great men in our church but also in the community in which we live. I'm far from perfect but I hope that by the way I live my life, I can honor my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and help others on the road back home.
