Hi I'm Jimmie G. Watkins

I'm 23 years old, married, and I know that Jesus Chirst lives.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are anything that has to do with the outdoors or my family. Hunitng and Fishing are the top activities, and here in Arizona, there is plenty of that to go around. I am married and we currently have no children. I attend Chandler/ Gilbert Community College and will be attending Arizona State University studying Human Nutrition. I am planning on graduating Medical School.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of this church because of the personal revelation I have received through study and prayer. I have read the Holy Bible along with The Book of Mormon and through both, I receive the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know they both contain the words of Heavenly Father spoken through His holy prophets. Since I know The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, the Gospel was restored to the Earth once more and we have a living prophet as there were in ancient times. I choose to be a Mormon because I have read and prayed.

How I live my faith

I currently am called to teach the 7 to 8 year olds within the Primary organization. This age group is very dear to me because when the children turn eight years old, they have the choice of whether or not they would like to be baptized and become members of the church. This year the lessons have been focused on a wide range of topics to recognize the Holy Ghost in their lives to remembering to say "thank you" with sincerity of heart. The most important lesson for these children to understand is that Jesus Christ has not only died for the whole world but was resurrected so that everyone of God's children receives immortality. But only because of His Atoning Sacrifice, we will receive Eternal Life if we have Faith in Christ, repent of our sins, be baptized by proper authority by water and fire, and we endure to the end of our lives striving to live like Jesus. That is how I live my faith on Sundays. The rest of the week I live day to day striving to improve myself by learning how to be more obedient to the commandments of God. Through faith in Christ I ask for forgiveness of my sins and learn from my mistakes. As I do so, I hope I can help many others along the way to find the peace I have found through the Gospel of Christ.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jimmie G. Watkins
If our Heavenly Father loves every single one of His children, then why would He want to only speak with His children of old? That is the question I personally had and found the answer to. We can all receive personal revelation for our personal lives, but the prophet has always received revelation on behalf of the whole world. I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of our Heavenly Father because of the his fruits. If you want to know what type of tree you have, you need to view the fruit it bares An apple tree wil not bare watermelons, and a true prophet will not prophesy falsely. To know if a prophet is of God, pray and ask, He wil tell you the truth. See The Epistle of James Chapter 1 verse 5 in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, King James Version. Show more Show less
